One of the sweetest (and best-selling) basketball shoes of 2008 was the
Nike Hyperdunk. Nike took that shoe and redesigned it with lighter weight and cool new technologies that lets you posterize with style. The
Nike Hyperize Shoes have a super-lightweight LunarLite foam in the forefoot for cushioning and support, embedded Flywire (tensile fibers that provide maximum support with the least amount of materials) in the upper for support, a thin TPU film with perforations that encompass the Flywire for breathability and support, a cutout area on the ankle for breathability and flexibility, a Nike Zoom Air™ unit for cushioning and an outrigger on the outsole for stability. Plus the
Nike Hyperize is built more efficiently than the Hyperdunk, so it's even lighter. The colors and accents in two of the
Nike Hyperize Shoes are inspired by the 1992 movie White Men Can't Jump. One model is built for the outfits worn by each of the main characters, Billy Hoyle (Woody Harrelson) and Sidney Deane (Wesley Snipes). The "Sidney Deane" Nike Hyperize has an orange flip-up tongue similar to Deane's flip-up bike cap and has his quote on the sock liner: "You can listen to Jimi but you can't hear him." The "Billy Hoyle" version has the white/yellow/black color scheme with Hoyle's quote on the tongue: "I'm in a f***ing zone!" Check out our full selection of
